The drivers for TurisTour were very accommodating, but we were not able to call anyone on our cell phones or speak in English to anyone who could explain what the problem was (road washed or landslide? temporary closure due to snowfall?) and what our options were. We tried arranging for a 4WD vehicle (since they were being allowed through) with our limited language skills, but finally decided to wait. It all worked out OK--the road had just been closed due to snowfall; it reopened and we were driven in TurisTour van. It would have saved us several hours of anxiety, however, if an English-speaking age
